Members of the Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips and the Interact Club from Dr. Phillips High School spent a recent Saturday morning spiffing up Sand Lake Road in preparation for last year’s A Taste of Dr. Phillips event.
Each year in about March and November, the Dr. Phillips Rotary Club performs two cleanup projects of a few blocks of Sand Lake Road. We’re joined in this event by members of the Dr. Phillips Noon Rotary Club and the Dr. Phillips High School Interact Club. The event is held in approximately March and November, to help ensure that our community looks its best for the Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament and our own A Taste of Dr. Phillips(TM). We meet at the SunTrust Bank parking lot at the corner of Sand Lake Road and Dr. Phillips Boulevard on a Saturday morning at 8:00, and we’re finished by about 10:00.
Watch this space or our weekly Bulletin for the date of our next cleanup event, or contact Rick Larson, the project’s chair.
